Hold Inquest In Death Of French Explorer

WELLINGTON, NZ. (Reuters) A coroner decided Tuesday that Eric de Bisschop, veteran French explorer, was killed when he and four other men tried to ride their waterlogged raft across a Pacific island reef to safety. _

Meanwhile, the French mine- sweeper Lotus has gone to Rake hanga in the Cook Islands where do Bisschc‘p died, 1,100 miles northeast of New Zealand. to take his body and four survivors to Tahiti, 800 miles away.
