Carnival Promoters Ready For Greatest Crowd Ever
Floats. hands. a bevy of beau- ties, lobsters. livestock. midway rides. acts. horse races.
You name it. they have it.
Carnival directors have been working since last year in preparation for what they vow is the best show to be seen on Prince Edward Island during centennial year.

Last year, as in other years, one of the highlights of the week was Lobster Carnival golf tour- nament at the Summerside Golf and Country Club.

Also on Sunday a carnival ear rally sponsored by the fimnnerside Car Club is expect ed to draw a large entry list. Prizes will be presented to the first three finishers of the five- hour rally.
Activities on Monday morning get underway at 9.30 sharp will! Carnival Little League playoffs At 1pm.. a half-hour prior to parade time. whistles will be blowinl. chimes and bells will
be ringing throughout the town informing citizens that Lobster Carnival Week is underway. Also at one p.m. Bill Lynch's Midway will begin catering to the thrill seekers.

well as the remainder of the week. there will be feature acts in the stadium. a band concert and demonstration by Oromoc- to Lions Club Band and Major- ettes . . One of the main attractions throughout the week are the de- licious lobster and chicken sup pers being served at Civic Stad- ium.

Four nights during the week. dances will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Home and on Thursday night the RCMP Ball will be staged at the Prince County Vocational School.
