A Svuccessrct Tea.—The tea at Montague West, in aid of the Roman Catholic church at that place, on Wednesday iast, was in every way a decided success. ANOTHER SuHipment. — The Agriculturist says :—Messrs. Avard and Drummond shipped by the Princess on Saturday morning, for Mr. John MeDonald, St. Jobn, twenty-two head of cattle and a quantity of lambs. The cattle were a very good lot, and among them were three two-year-old steers fed by Mr. James Enman, Crapaud,'which were especially fine, weighing about 1,200 lbs each.

Potice Court. —Thomas Enman, drunk and disorderly, fined $20 or twenty days; James McGonnell (countryman), do., do., $2 or eight days; John A. McDonald, refusing to move from corner at command of police officer, $1 or four days; Richard Gaul, drunk and in- capable, $2 or eightdays; Frank Wright, do., lo., $1 or four days. In the Collins-King assault case, the defendant was fived $2 and osts; and one other case was settled, and snother dismissed.

Aqvatic. — Pictou will be represented in the summer carnival regatta at Halifax, in the pair oared, four oared professional and pro- fessional single scull races. A four oared crew is also expected from Quebec.

The fourteenth annual 4-mile straightway S-oared race, between Yale and Harvard col- lege crews, was rowed on Friday evening over the Thames, (Conn.) course. It was

won by Yale, by six lengths. Yale has now eight and Harvard six victories.
