Former Islander Dies In U. S. A.

Friends and relatives were sad- dened to hear of the passing in Somerville. Mass. of Mrs. Ella Barbara Dunning on January 1, at the age of ill years.

Born in French River. P. E. 1.. daughter of Anthony and Sarah Stewart, at an early age she mov- ed to U. S. A. and later married Emanuel Dunning. formerly of Long River. He predeceased her 18 years ago.

Her illness was of short dura- tion. She was well and active up to six weeks previous and the news of her death comes as a great shock to a large circle of friends and relatives as she was a woman of kind and quiet dispo- sition and made her home a happy place to meet.

She leaves to mourn one son. Arnold of Somerville and one granddaughter Catherine to whom vshe was very devoted. One broth- er. John Stewart of Brook- iieid, P. E.
