Sir,—Having attended the Georgetown Exhibition, I take pleasure in saying that the exhibits were certainly a credit to King’s County, more particularly the horses. There were some fine animals on the show grounds, and although I do not wish to be invidious, 1 cannot help adverting to Mr. James Lannigan’s prize foal, sired by Messrs. Clow & Poole’s beautiful horse General Burnett. This foal, 1 learn, was purchased by Mr. Gates, of Charlottetown, at a handsome figure.

Mr. James Nichol’s entire carriage colt under two years “took the bun” and the lirst prize besides. He was sired by All Right, dam Messenger, and is unmistake- ably a perfect beauty.

After the exhibition | took a trip to the southern section of the country, via Mon tague Bridge, Murray Harbor and Wood Islands, and regret learn = from the tarmers that the potato crep is consid- erably affected with rot. It is certainly too bad that there is not a daily mail to and from Murray Harbor,where such an exten- sion business is carried on by Messrs.
