IIEREAS it appears that divers persons in certain

parts of this Island have associated , or leagiied together, for the purpose of counselling. aiding and assisting one another in resisting the payment of certain Rents, which they became legally bound to pay, as Tenants, on certain Townships in this Island.

And whereas it has been brought to my notice that an Oflicer of the Law has recently been violently obstructed and prevented from discharging his duty by persons who have so combined as aforesaid. Now I have thought fit to issue this my Proclamation, warning all parties concerned in such unlawful combination that, in attempting to carry out such purposes, they do oppose themselves to Her Majesty and the Laws.

And I do command and enjoin all such persons immedi— ately to abstain from all such unlawful associations.

And I do further command and enjoin all Magistrates, Sheriffs and other Ministers of the Law, and all Constables and Peace Officers, and all other loyal subjects of Iler Majesty, to discourage, by every means in their power, such unlawful combination, and to give their prompt aid and

assistance, when lawfully required, in opposing, preventing

and resisting all persons, whomsoever, who shall take part in any such unlawful combination, and in arresting and bringing to justice any such persons oileiiding, or having offended as aforesaid. ‘

And I do further solemnly warn all persons that it is my

duty to see that the Law shall take its courSe, and thatl

I shall cause it to be obeyed and respected throughout the Island.

Y virtue of two several Writs of Statute Execution to me . directed, issued out of IIer Majesty's Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit of James Bourke, against Joseph Kellow, I have taken and scizedas the property of the said Joseph Kellow. All his right, title, and freehold interest, in and to one~fourth of Town Lot No. 9. 2nd range letter F, in Georgetown frontng on the Western side of Kent Street 30 feet, and extending back 34 feet, a. little more or less, with the building thereon erected; and I do hereby give Public Notice that I will on the 12th day of April 1807, at the Court House in Georgetown, at 1‘2 o’clock, noon, set up and sell at Public Auction, the above recited property, or as much thereof as will satisfy the amount of levy marked on the two said several Writs, one Execution being for the sum of £80 8s. 0d. with inierest on £60, part thereof, from the 30th day of March,

there will be sold by PUBLIC AUCTION. at the COLONIAL BUILDING, in Charlottetown, on SATURDAY the 24th day of JUNE next, at 12 o’clock, noon, ALL 'rnosu several pieces or parcels of land, sxtuatc in the Royalty of Charlottetown aforesaid, known as Pasture Lots Numbers Five hundred and sixty-one (561), Five hundred and sixty-two, (54.32), Five hundred and sixty-six, (506) and Five hundred and sixty-seven, (567), in the said Royalty, as the same are laid down on the plan of the said Royalty, now or lately kept in the otlice of the Surveyor General for the said Island, containing in the whole FOR’I‘Y EIGHT ACRES, a little more or less, together with all rights and appur- tenances to the same belonging or appertaining.
