Persons holding goods and elfects belonging to the said estate, are request- ed to render accounts thereof, and to deliver up possession of the same to the Subscriber. day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the

amount of the Invoice of Dutiablc Goods imported into this Is-

land from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the

duties payable thereon, he reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:—

In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents of the paper currency of the United States. the amount of such Invoice shall be reduced into current money of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of Five Shillings, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a Dollar; of which all Collec- tors of Impost are to take notice and govern themSclves accor-

ROAD COMPENSATION ACT, PUBLIC NOTICE.

HEREAS a Commission has been issued directed to us. under and by virtue of an Act passed in the Fourteenth year of the reign of her present Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “ An Act to regulate the laying out and altering of Highways, and of the Acts in amendment thereof,” whereby We are commanded to estimate the damage or advantage that will accrue to the parties through whose land a New Line of road is intended to pass along the County line dividing Townships Eighteen and Twenty. Now we do hereby give PUBLIC NOTICE to all parties con- cerned, that we will commence the execution of said Commission by attending on the said line of Road , at or near .1 ohn Cousins,’ on MONDAY the 21st day of May next, at the hour of 10 o’clock, forenoon of the same day, and will proceed in accordance with the terms of the Act l4th Vic., Cap. 1, and of the Acts in amend- ment thereof. 0 BE SOLD by PUBLIC AUCTION, on THURSDAY, the Twsurn day of JULY next, at the hour of 12 o’clock, noon, at the COLUNIAL BUILDING in Charlottetown, under and by virtue of a. Power of Sale contained in a certain Indenture of Mortgage, bearing date the Thirteenth day of June, A.D. 1862, and made between John Egan then of Charlottetown, in Prince Edward Is- land,Plasterer, and Margaret Egan, his wife, of the one part, and the Hon. John Longworth, of the same place, Barrister-at-Law, of the other part: ALL that piece or parcel of Land,situate on or form- ing part of Common Lot No. Thirty-two, Within the Royalty of Char- lottetown, and described as Plot number Twelve in a certain Deed of Conveyance of parts of said Common Lot, executed by Francis Longworth and Sarah Parker, his wife, to the saidJohn Longworth, bearing date the fifth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and fifty-six, and also on the plan annexed to said Deed, the said Plot being bounded on the North-Westward by theSt. Peter’s Road, and having a suflicient front thereon to give Forty-two feet on a right angle line, with parallel side lines running South-eastwardly from said Road, the South-western side line being Eighty-eight feet in length, and the North-eastern ninety-nine feet, the said North- eastern line forming the side line of a new street recently opened from the St. Peter’s Road to Euston Street, together with all buildings, fences, improvements, rights and appurtenances to the said described piece of land, belonging or appertaining.
