Official Naming Ceremony in; Robertéhn Library
The official naming of the 'New Library' occured at 3:00 P.M. on Friday. March 14,1975. The main lobby was the scene of the unveiling fo the portrait of Dr. Samuel Napier Robi ertson, B.A.,M.A.,L.L.D., 1869-1937. The portrait was‘painted by Hrs. Jadi Bibily. -

Dr. Samuel Robert- son has long been identified with education in P.E.I. and taught for fifty years at Prince of Wales College. In 1901 he became principal of P.W.C. and remained so until his death in 1937. The naming of the library is in recognition to such

Catherine Callbeck, a great—niece of Dr; Robert— son addressed a few remarks to the honourable guests, acknowledging the tribute paid to Dr. Robertson in the naming of the library. She said that she was honoured to be among those who wer’ related to Dr. Robertson and hopes that the library will be "a constant remind— er of his service for fut— ure generations who will - all be touched by his leg— acy."
