The children’s fund committee report was read and adopted as follows: The number of claimants on the fund was found tu be 209 to be paid for pro rata as the fund will allow. [t was resulved by the committee that the treasurer be authorized to borrow $65,the assessment of the Hamp- ton circuit, for the children’s fund and that Rev. Mr. Tippett give his note for the amount to the treasurer :—

Rev. Job Shenton was appointed treas- urer of the general conference fund.

Rev. Dr. Stewart moved that the coufer- ence had heard with much pleasure the Rev. Dr. Lathern, editor of the Wesleyan, and pledged itself to put forth every effort to secure a still more widely extended circulation, believing that the existence and circulation of the Wesleyan are neces- sary to the success of our work in these provinces; aud also expressed confidence in the management of Rev. 8S. F. Huestis, and assured him that he may depend upon the warm sympathy and the financial help of this conference. This was seconded and carried, and Rev. Dr. Lathern made some remarks.

Rey. Benjamin Chappell reported for the theological union, stating tha: it was out of debt. Rev. Mr. Harrison aud Rev. Mr. Teasdale, of Halifax, would preach the annual sermon next year. This was adopt- ed, and Rev. E. Evans made sume remarks with referen e to it.

Rev. J. A. Clark spoke of the Rev. W. W. Percival, at one time a member of the conference, but now in the Presbyterian Church in British Columbia. Mr. Perci- val, he said, while stationed at Milltown had handled some of the funds of the con- ference. It was claimed that Mr. Percival] had misappropriated the money and the conference should do something in the matter. The amount paid into the super- numerary fund by Mr. Percival could be taken to offset this. He moved that a com- Fmittee of three be appointed to inquire into the matter and report back to the confer- ence.

The motion was adopted and the follow- ing committee appointed:—Rev. Dr Stewart, Win. Heard and Wm. Lindsay.

Rev. E. Evans submitted a report of the missionary committee. The following statistics were given :—

PoTaTors—W ith larger receipts and a dull trade prices have declined about 10c¢ per bu. For the best Houlton Hebrons 95c is an out- side price, and best Rose will not go over We. Maine Central stock rule mostly at 80 to 85c, and Northern at 75 to 80c. P E Island Chenangoes dropped to 75c, which was the rate for most of this week's receipts New Southern sold at $3 to $4 per bbl.

Kacs—There is not much change to note in the egg market. Receipts are kept sold up and prices are firmly maintained. Sales of Eastern extras at 154c, and Western and Provincial at 144 to 15¢ per dozen,

Fish —Mackerel have been arriving more freely the past week, but with an improved trade prices have been maintained. Sales in fare lots at $6 25 to $7 25 per bbl, sea packed, with bb].
