people who play them and CAN play them for enjoyment, and all the power to them. It is an individual thing, just like what they said about liquor and alcoholics. Just because someone is an alcoholic doesn’t mean they should take the liquor out of bars. I also laughed my ass off when I read about the tagging and squirt gun strategy... really liked that idea and appreci- ated the laughter a lot...there was a time when I could not laugh or sleep or eat or study or even cry...Life is a lot better now than when I was gripped helplessly in that crippling addiction and for somebody who has not experienced it they could never understand. I can feel for the people who are troubled by them and think perhaps Student Council should hold an infor- mation forum on the subject or the paper could publish a few more informative articles. I would like to help if I could and would like to hear from other students about this problem and wonder if they could submit their stories to the paper. If there are enough people interested, and this applies to Alcoholics Anonymous, there could be meetings arranged on the campus...you have to ask for these things, and don’t be afraid of asking for help or support because it is a great

sign of strength.

Stull fed-up

To the Editor:

This is in response to the letter written by Ms. Younker to correct the view of the ‘‘Fed up Women’’. If Ms. Younker had been paying attention to earlier editions of the X-Press, she would have seen that our names are signed in the October 7 issue. It was apparently the decision of the editor to use our joint names, that being the ‘‘Fed-Up Women’’ (Editor’s note: one of the ‘‘fed-up’’ authors, when asked about the last column, said they probably would not want their names used therein, and I com- plied).

I would like to take full responsibility for anything written in the October 14 edition. My partner merely agreed with what was written. I will acknowledge that the article did trash the university, in particular, the professors. I would like to remind Ms. Younker that this is a free country last time I heard and everyone in it is

entitled to voice his or her opinion about any subjects whatsoever.

To refresh Ms. Younker’s memory, I will leave my name, ;

The sound of silence

Dear Editor;

Once again, I am frustrated by the constant chatter in the Robertson Library. I have never imagined that an institute of higher learning would havea library in which students are at the mercy of socializing wannabees. It gets unnerv- ing to tell other people to shut-up on a daily basis. I hope like-minded students will get together and find a solution. Please, speak up and take back the library!

The yearbook will be accepting job applications for all its paid staff positions until November 18th. The positions of Editor, Assistant Editor, Photographer. Assistant Photographer and Typesetter. all pay a reasonable weekly wage. They are all convenient rewarding part-time jobs. Applications are. available at the barn during business hours.
