It's that time of year again when we start bugging you about renewing your membership or buy- ing a membership as a gift for a friend.

Reading through some back issues. i came across an announcement by Winnie congratulating the Natural History Society on its 10th anniversary. That was in October 1979. By my calculations that means this Issue marks the 15th anniversary of the present NHS - and that started me thinking at the benefits a membership can bring. The monthly talks: reports: bi-manthly newsletter: field trips: a sharing of ideas and concerns about nature - all these for only $4 (regular tee) a year. Good value for your money!

P.S. - there's also usually a pretty good "lunch" provided at the 'meetings compliments of the lunch committee.
