IN pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of this Island made and passed in the Eleventh year of the reign of Her Majesty, Queen Victoria, intituled “ An Act for levying further on Assessment on all Lands in this Colony, and lor the encouragement of Education;" and also an Act in amendment of the said Act. intituled “An Act 10 explain and amend the present Act for the Assessment of Land, and the encouragement of Education ;” and also of an Act made and passed in the twenty-fourth year of the said reign, intituled, “ An Act to raise funds for the pur- poses 01 Education by imposing an additional Assessment on Land in this Island, and on real Estate in Charlotte- town and Common and Georgetown and Common,” Ido hereby give public notice that 1 have made proclamation according to the terms of the said Aets. of all the under- mentioned Town Lots, Water Lots. Common Lots, Pasture Lots, islands. Townships, or parts of Townships, in this Island. in arrear for the non-payment of the several sums A due and owing thereon to Her Majesty, under and by vit- tue of the above-mentioned Acts. viz :—

And the owners of the aforesaid Lots, parts of Lots and tracts of Lands so in arrear and proclaimed as aforesaid,are hereby notified that in case the sums charged on them as aforesaid, together with the costs which have been incurred, shall not be paid before the next Easter Term of the Supreme Court, which will commence on Tuesday, the second day of May next. application will be made to the Supreme Court during the said Term lor Judgment against the said Lots or tracts of Land respectively.

LAND SALE.

0 BE SOLD BY PUBLIC AUCTION ON SATURDAY the TWENTIETH day of MAY, A. D., 1865, at the hour Of 12 O'clock noon, at the COLONIAL BUILDING, in CHARLOTTETOWN, under and by virtue of a power of sale, contained in a certain In- denture of Mortgage, bearing date the sixth day of February,A.D., 1861, and made between Edward Henry of Lot or Township Num- ber Twenty-one, in Prince Edward Island, Blacksmith, of the one part, and William Rattenbury of the same place, Farmer and Miller, of the other part : The LEASEIIOLD INTEREST of the said Edward Henry, in and to ALL that tract, piece or parcel of land and premises, being the southern moiety or half part of a certain tract of 200 acres therein mentioned,and which said southern moiety is therein described, or bounded as follows, that is to sayz—com- mencing at a stake fixed in the south end of the Old Saw Mill dam; from thence by a line running west the distance of seventy-eight chains; thence north twelve chains 35 fifty links; thence east to the Saw Mill River; thence following the courses of the shore of the said river southwardly to a stake at or near the turn ofsaid river; thence south, crossing said river, until it bears due east from the before mentioned stake, drove in the south end of the mill dam; and from thence west to the stake or place of beginning, containing by esti- mation One Ht ndred acres be the same more or less—ALSO ALL that other tract, piece or parcel of Land situate on the said Lot or Town- ship Number Twenty-one. and bounded as follows, that is to say: by a line commencing in the most eastern angle of Messrs. Morris’s mill-farm, in the north side of Rattenbury’s mill road; and running thence by the magnetic meridian of the year 1704, west five chains and fifty links; thence north to the south boundary line of 100 acres in the occupation Of the said William Rattenbury; and thence along the same east, to the road aforesaid; thence along the said road westerly to the place of commencement; containing Fifty-five (55) acres of land, be the same more or less; together With all Crist Mills, Saw Mills, Carding and other Millsh Ilouses, Buildings, Waters, Watercourses, Millstrcams, Mill-privtliges, and appurten- ances whatsoever to the said two several described tracts or parcels of land belonging or appertaining.
