On the 26th of March, 1870, would be value for £36 103.,and still is, when certain conditions made at the time of making of said Note, are complied with, viz: The under- signed purchased 50 acres of land on said 'l‘ownship,from said Alex. McDonald, on these conditions: That the undersigned would be placed in possession of the same, free of all rents and arrears of rents, up to the time of sale, viz: 26th Sept., 1868. Now finding the proprietor claims a balance of back-rent, to the amount of £11, which the said seller has not paid. So soon as said claim is liquidated we will be answerable for the amount of
