Violent Scenes.

Parts, July 20.

A despatch from Vienna says the Bul- garian Government are intercepting tele- grams to and from the Bulgarian Capital. There have been violent scenes in the Sobranje. Members of the Opposition, in- cluding ex-Premier MRadslaueoff, were , forcibly expelled. The troops at Rustchuk made a hostile demonstratson against Prince Ferdinand, led by ofticers of the army. They paraded the streets uttering cries of ** Long live Russia.”

A Sanguinary Struggle.

According to letters from Bucharest, M. DeCouttoley, French Minister, in a speech at a banquet, said the French Republic was preparing for a sanguinary struggle which would be more formidable the longer the outbreak was delayed. He concluded by offering a toast to the health of Russian Minister M. Coutouly, whereupon all pre- sent shouted, *‘ Success to Russia, friends of France.”

The Boundary Question. St. Pererspure, July 20.

The Afghan boundary question was settled to-day. Russia receives territory between the Kousk and Murghab rivers, accepting in return the English frontier line of the Oxus River, and renouncing claims tu the districts to which she would have been entitled according to arrange- ments of 1883.
