The Boston gvotations for eggs are as follows :—

In Montreal eggs are quoted at from 9 cents tv 10 cents, and in foronto at from 10 cents to 11 cents.

Dairy butter, in Boston, rules at from 10 to 15 cents per pound. For fancy lots of creamery butter as mach as 20 cents per ib. is obtained. In Montreal, dairy butter is quoted at from 9 te 10 cents per ib. and in Toronto from 10 to 20 cents.

The Boston market for potatues took a

last weekly report, and since then has been ruling very firm. Demand bas not been particularly active, but receipts have been moderate especially of choice Aroostook County rose and hebrons and stocks at the roads keep pretty closely sold up. P. E. Island chenangoes are going forward by rail and are selling fairly at about 85 cents per bushel.

Queen Victorta’s Health,

HER MAJESTY SUFFERING FROM INCURABLE DROPSY AND RHEUMATISM

A London despatch asserts that it is well known in court circles that Queen Victoria’s health is seriously imperilled. Her Majesty's visit to Aix les-Buins, whither she went for the cure of persistent acute infliummation of the muscles of the leg. has been in vain, al- though the English papers report great im- provement. She i+ anable to walk, and is as- sisted in and out of her carriage, Siv is very iii and wea, and .s suffering from in- curable dropsy, ‘which is only prevented from taking a malignant form hy the bighess merical skili aud the greatest precaution. Her Majesty is very mach depressed in spirits, and will return to London on Tuesday next,
