Three persons were rushed to the P. E. Island Hospital last night as a result oi s head-on collision between two cars near the Marsh- field schoolhouse six miles from Charlottetown. The collision oc- curred about I o'clock.

Prince Edward Island's grand old physician, 10-year-old Dr. R. J. MacDonald, was s busy but happy man Sunday as he observed his 90th birthday at his home at St. Peter's Bay. All day long friends of the gen- ial doctor visited his residence to wish him many happy returns of the day, He had s chat with sii of them, numbering over 100. But birthday or not. he still had calls to make. Early Sunday morning the Doctor was off on a sick call. His son Colin and daughters Jean and Alycia (Mrs. P. J. Rossiter) were with him for the celebration. Also present were his grandchild- ren, memebrs of the Rossiter iam~ ily and his great’ grand-daughter, Mary Corbett, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Corbett. in the evening a large number of friends assembled. A presenta- tion of a purse was made and a very fitting address read, The Doc- tor made an excellent reply. Among the many congratulatory messages were some 60 cards from the St. Peter's Club of Boston. Also received were two spiritual bouquets from the same group.

The Police said last night it was their opinion the late Mr. McWads-had fallen down a stair- way from the second floor. There were some blood spots on the wall near the bottom. oi the stairs though the Police said when they saw the body it was propped up at- the bottom of the stairs in a corner about nine feet from where the blood spots were on the wall.

Police said there was a small cut on the top oi the man's head.

Upon the arrival of Coroner Dr. I. .1. Yeo, an inquest was ordered and the following jurymen were empanelled: Thomas White. fore- man; William Hughes, Merritt I-‘orsythe, George W.
