A statement of the Accounts of the Market House having been laid before the Board, —

Upon motion of Mr. CouneiNor Beer, seconded by Mr. Councillor Buteher, the following RKesolu- tion was up2nimously adopted by the board: —

Whereas, From the Report of the Receipts and Expenditures of the Market, up to the 3ist De- cember, 1865, it appears thet a balance of £178 10s. Wd. ir now due the city trom the said mar- ket; and it still further appears that the eost of erecting aod turnishing the said Market exceeds the amount of Debentures sold for said purpose by an excess of £455;

Resolved, therefore, that Market House Deben- tures for £455 be at once disposed of, and with the proceeds, the balance due the city be paid and the remainder be placed to the credit of the Market House account, to be opened iu one of the Banks, in accordance with the Fifth Section of the By-law respecting Markets, of July, 1865.

The Section of the By-law above referred to is as follows: —
