This used to be a cormon saying heard here at UPEI each week. Thursday night ' used to be the big night on campus where everyone would head down to the Barn to go the Pig.'f Thursday nights used to see the Barn filled with people dancing, sitting around talking to friends, Orwhatever! Thursday night used to be the night to get out and see your friends and . socialize! But no more!

What has Where have the crowds gone?

I've been talking to people and they have never seen the place so dead as in the past- few weeks. Four years ago, last year, even last senester, saw crowds at the Barn. What happened to all those seniors who used to attend every event and those Freshmen who never missed an event in their first year? And also the Sophomores and Juniors, who used to get out just as much” I

know it is the old coy of student apathy, but we want to know what is wrong! Imagine what UPEI would be like with— out any SOCIAL IIFE! and it is slowly getting that way. '

In the last two months several rumours have circulated concerning the fiuture of Marian and Bernadine Halls. Apparently Marian Hall would again become a Co-ed dorm and one floor of Bernadine Hall would be converted into a male residence.
