What’s on at the Panther Lounge

It’s Halloween time again, and that means the Student Unior: will be hosting one of the biggest bashes of the year. THE HALLOWEEN PUB will be Thursday, October 28th. Halifax-based band, ‘‘Cameras in Paris’’ will be blasting out the music until 2 a.m. (EXTENDED HOURS!!!) There will not be an advance sale of tickets because our numbers are so large that night. The first 475 people here will be the ones that Bolum, so get here early to avoid getting shut out of the fun. Stick around icz the’ midnight special when all drinks go down to Happy Hour prices iii 1-0 a.m. That will get you spooked! Prizes will also be offered fox «ne best costumes, so “‘dress to impress’’.

More important information to remember is that if the Jays ard tne Phillies series goes to a seventh game, that game will fall on Sunday, October 24th, and the Panther Lounge WILL BE OPEN. We have lots of Blue Jays draught jugs to give away, so watch the Jays repeat as World Champions (we hope) and bring home a souvenir.

Upcoming movie pubs include ‘‘Scent of a Woman’? and *‘Mo Money”’ on Friday Oct. 22 and ‘‘Indecent Proposal”’ and ‘‘Sidekicks’’ on Oct. 29.

The. fantastic Newfie, Irish, partyin’, drinkin’ band - ‘‘The Irish Descendants’’ will be playing the Barn on Nov. 4th. Anyone who has seen these four giants will surely be back to hear them again. We’ve been asked many, many times when we would bring this band back and we finally secured the date. These guys are absolutely adored in Newfoundland, just ask Corey Power (he loves them, too). 5

For all you WWF fans, we’ve obtained the rights to show the next big wrestling event on November 24th. We had almost 300 people for the event in August and the University wasn’t even open, so ima gine what this night will be like. This event will also be open to those under nineteen as we will have a few big screens upstairs.

Dave, Tanya, Mindy, Chris, Gilian, Mike, Suzanne, and Lindsay can’t wait to see your thirsty faces down at the Barn.

Campus Sub organisations The registration for all UPEI Student Union suborganisations will be held on Wed., October 20 at 2:30 in the Barn.
