Montague Trade Board Seeks To Beautifi Road

Two years ago the Board of Trade. undertook the planting of these-trees. The project was sup- ervised by Mr. R. K. Clements. The merchants were canvassed and approximately 320000 was raised. this sum being duplicated by the Provincial Government. under the rural beautification plan.

The trees purchased from the Cotton Nursery consisted of flow- ering crab. clicrry. and English hawthoi-ne. They were planted al- ternately except at low spots where weeping willows were set out. -- In in few years when the trees mature the beauty of the town will be reatly enhanced by the beauty of its approaches. The owners of property on which trees were plant ed have more or less taken over their care.
