McDonald, Pictou, fer $42, res ceiving acash discount. Later it was found out from the Pictou Bank that there was ne monty with which to cashit. A warrant was issued for his arrest next day. Yesterday a man played the same trick on D. Rogers & Son, Summer, side, with the vame of A. Duchemio & Ce., on the cheque, and payable to Isaac Saundersen, whom‘he claimed to ke. His goods were taken to the Terrace House, at his request, and it was found that he bad given his name there as Perkins. Sue- picion arose and a warrant was is+ued forhis arrest which wes accomplished yesterday afternoon. There is some doubt thatthe same person passed both cheques, The one in Summerside has acted foolishly, paesing under three names. He inteudedte come to Charlottetown from Summerside ‘yesterday but missed the
