CHICAGO, Feb. 17.

Swing’s Block, 14 stories high, one of the tallest office buildings in America, col- lapsed this morning. A number of work- men barely escaped with their lives. Booksellers Complain. Ovrrawa, Feb. 17. Ontario booksellers have represented to the Minister of Customs the injustice to which they are subjected in reterence to the United States magazines. These pub- lications, sent direct to subscribers from headquarters, come in duty free, but if sent in bulk to Uanadian booksellers for delivery to customers there, booksellers have to pay duty. John C. Klein, American newspaper cor- respondent, arrived from Samoa yesterday. He says he left the Islands because he would have to remain on an Aimerican man- of-war continually, to avoid being seized by Germans.
