Fire destroys Farm residence

The large farm residence c-f Pet-

er McQuaid. along with its entire contents was entirely destroyed by fire late ay night. The loss is esti- malted at $5.000 and it is believed that the blaze was caused by a de- fective flue.

Mr. McQuaid and his two were attending a meeting nearby when the fire originated. Mr. Wil- liam McDonald was first to notice the fire when he was leaving the meeting at flames shooting from the flue of the McQuald home and immediately g; 51 alarm.
