The youngsters, many of whom are in their teens, work out ev- ery Sunday on ice-cold Lake On- tario. When the ice comes they’ll sweat it out. on the indoor row- ing machines.

“Our 10ng~range plan Is to send an eight crew to Rome and these kids now are lighting for places in the boat,” says Club Captain Jack Russell, a member of the Argonalut eight that represented Oanadra in the 1952 Games at Helsinld.

“They‘ll work out. once a week, 52 weeks a year until the trials for the 1960 Olympics,” Russell says. "There are two crews and it should be a tremendous fight I'm- positions on the eight to be chosen.”
