Her sister treated the audience to two miasionary solos, the accompaniment herself on the auto- harp. Rev. D. Losr 1x tae Woops.—Nelsoa Sillick, who lives with the celebrated hunter, a few miles from Monctoa,on the Irish‘own road, had a rather Unpleasant experience on Monday night. He went into the woodsto hunt cows aod darkne#s over- taking him, he was unable to find his way out. Tt was too cold to aleep out, and Mr. Sillick was obliged to keep moving until daylight Tuesday moraing, when he was able to get his bearings. He does net care to repeat the experience very soon.—Moneton Times.

ing. The ceremeny was performed by Rev. C. W. Corey, pastor of the Baptist Church, at the home of the bride. Mr. | John A. Webster, the groom’s brother,

was best man, and the bride was artended by Miss Maggie McLean. A large number of wedding offerings testified to the esteem eutertained for the conrtracting parties by all who enjoy their acquaintance. Among the gifts was one from Messrs. Stanley Rros., employes, one from Mr. Webster’s ow emploves at Carvel! B_os., one each | from the members of that firm, one from |} the members of the Baptist choir and Sunday school, and a valuable chair from the Misses MacMiilan, Prince street and the groom’s tellow boarders there. The EXAMINER joins in the good wisies extend- ed to Mr. and Mrs. Webster.

Sovurts Notes—A basket social took place in St. Patrick’s Hall, last night, and was most successtul. At 8.30 o’clock.the hall was well fiiled with people from town aod country, notwithstanding the disagree- able weather. The opening address was delivered by Mr. Arthur Mellish who in- formed those present that they were there to eat. drink and bemerry. The manag- ing Committee did all they could to make the evening & pleasant one. The baskets were auctioned off at the conclusion of the evening’s entertainment and the eum of $95 was realized.
