Turnover was less than 10,000 shares and the market was devoid oi a restore. Price changes, except in Bank 01 Canada which lost a point, were iractional. Metal stocks and a iew build- ing materisis showed a little strength but liquors were slightly weaker and irregular trends were displayed by utilities. Hlolllnger, in good buying sawed to 16 1-2 and consolidated Smelt- ing iin"éred at 56 3-4, up 1-2 and 1-4 respectively. While Nickel held even, Norands eased 1-2. In the utilities, steel oi Canada preferred and Montreal Power went fractionelly higher whiie Brazilian and shawinigan dropped horn 1-8 to 8-8. The regular monthly meeting of the Bonshaw Women's Institute was held at the home of Mrs. J. W. Boyce on Wednesday evening May 20th. In the absence of the president, the vice president. A paper was read by secretary on Red Cross campaign. It was noted children had already canvassed the district. Bills amounting to $1.10 were voted to be paid.
