It certainly looks enepicious that veither of them will let the electors know the exact terms and conditions on which the bridge is to be constructed. This is particularly the case when they are ap- pealing to the voters in Belfast and Mur- ray Harbor ov the merits of their bridge and railway policy. [t is a matter that affecte every taxpayer on the Island. The sum of $400,000 ie to be added to our already large debt and surely the public ovght to kuow what we are to get for it. Mr. McKinnon states that he spent several days witb Mr. Blair in Moncton closing the deal. If so, why does he not take the electors into his confidence and let them know what hereally did do? lt seems to m- preposterous that an intelligent elector- ate should be asked to voto away such a large amount of money in such a biind way.
