N pursuance ol’ an Act of the General Assembly of this Island, made and passed in the ’|‘\\’(.'llly-Ililll'lh year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria, intituled “ An Act relating to lllr‘ Land Assessment at present imposed by Law on the Town and Royalty of l'l'i'ltlt‘l‘JW'ls" "lid also of an Act made and passed in the 'l‘wettty— seventh year of the same reign, lllllllllt'tl, " An Act to consolidate and amend the several Laus imposing an Assessment, on all Lands in this Coloin and lol‘ the enCouragement of Education.”

1 do hereby publicly notily the owners or occupiers of Lands in this Island, for which the annual Asses‘smeiit or Assessments charged theieon by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, of nine shillings and two pence lawlitl money of this lslaiid foi every hundred acres ol‘ wtlderiiess or unimproved Lands, contained in the aeVeral 'l‘ownsliips and the Islands belonging thereto; and the sum ofsix shillings and eight pence ot'like money lor every hundred acres of cultivated or improved Lands in the said several 'l‘owuships and Islands as aloresaid; and at the rate of nine shillings aiid two pence of like money per hundred acres for wilderness or unimproved Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Roya y of Princetowu; and at the rate. ot's‘ix shillings and eight pence ol likeiiioiiey per hundred acres for cultivated ot‘ iiiiproveil Town Lots and Pasture Lots in the Town and Royalty ot' Pi‘iiicetown as aliiresaid; and the. sum of four shillings of like. money [or each and every uncultivated or unimproved Town Lot, Common Lot and \Vater Lot, grant- ed in the Town and Common ol' Utiarlottctim'n; and the sum of six shillings of like money for each and every uncultivated or unimproved Pasture Lot in the Royalty of (.7litirlottetou'n; and the sum of four shillings of like money for each and every cultivated or improved l’asture Lot in the Royalty; and the stun of two shillings and six pence ot' liki money for each and every cultivated or improved 'l‘own Lot and Water Lot in lllt: said Town; and the stun ol two shillings of like money for each and eveiy cultivated or im- proVed (Ioniiiion Lot as illlll‘l’a‘illtl; and the sum of ttvo shillings and eight pence 01 like money for each and every uncultivated or unim- proved 'llown Lot and \Vatcr Lot in the 'I'ou it of Georgetown; and the sum of one shilling and l'oiii‘ pence of like money for each and every cultivate-d and improved 'l‘own Lot and \Vater Lot in the last mentioned Town; and the sum of three shillings and tour pence of like money tor each and cVi-ry uncultivated or uiiiiiiprovt-d l’asture Lot in the Royalty ot Georgi-town; and the sum ol‘ tuo shillings ol like money for each and every cultivated or improved l’astnrc Lot in the last mentioned Royalty; and the sum 01’ two penci- of like money for each and every acre of cultivated or improved Lands in the Royalty ol'(ieorgetowu, called Reserved Lands; and the sum ot‘tlirec pence ol like money for each and every acre of such last mt-iitioni-d Lands as may be deemed uncultivated or llllllllpt‘tin~tl Lands; and so in proportion tor a less quantity—is payable; that unless the Assessment or Assessments for lllt’ current year, imposed by the said recited Acts, or some one or more of them, be paid into my hands, or the hands of any of my Deputies, (as required by law,) on or before the Sixth day of DECEMBER next, 1 shall proceed against all such Lands as shall then be in aricar for non-pay-
