Quvesec, Nov. 6.—A certified captain of this city, supported by the Roya! Society of Canaua, willorganize ao expedition to the North Pole next spring. He is work- ing eutirely different from any other ex- plorers who have tried to reach that point, but he will first apply to both local and federal governments for assistance towards brivging his scheme toa practical end. He proposes, if aided by the government, to use one of their cruisers as far north as possible, when he will disembark a skiff which be has arranged to go over the ice and up bills with the assistance of his seven men who will compose the party, He has already chosen some of his men, but in a few days he will make a public cal! so that he may have broader opportunities for choosing those adapted for the journey. The medical examination, which all will have to pass through, is very strict.
