Ward, President of the Irish-American Republi- can Club, and the most conspicious Clan- na-Gael man in the city, had committed suicide by taking poison. The news spread rapidly, and a large crowd gathered around the house. Beyond the fact that Ward had swallowed cyinade of potassium, and had died instantly, nething could be learned.
