At Geneva a body of free corps has been enro!!ed to maintain the orders ofthe Diet. A collision seems alinost inevitable. On the 20th ult. the’Helvetic Diet decreed the dissolution of the seven Catholic Cantons as.contrary to the com- pact of 1®15, and that obedience to that decree would be enforced by ulterior measures. ‘T'welve Cantons and a half voted in favour of the decree, which wil], no doubt, be resisted to extremity. Advices have arrived from Berne to the 22d inclusive.
