’ WALLACE FUNERAL — The funeral of the late Mrs. Rosa- mond Wallace who passed away fn Cornwall, Ontario, was held April ist at Snow's Funeral Par- lour, Halifax, NS., to Christ Church Dartmouth, N.S., where service was conducted by the Archdeacon Roder. Interment was in Christ Church cemetery. There were many floral tributes from Cornwall: Ontario, Halifax and Dartmouth. Survivors include three daughters,. Mrs. Firth D. The factual knowledge that cannot be gained in a life- time may be gleaned from books which tell of the past, and look speculatively into the future. A- long with knowledge. he told the attentive audience that re laxation, comfort, background and inspiration may be found be- tween the covers of books, aid- ing one in co-ordinating a phil- osophy of life, and in evaluating human existance.

Mr. Power said, “Our present day environment is confusing. Scientific data falls on us every day until we are suffocated, mind overwhelmed with discoveries we do not understand, therefore fear. What is found in books can make us look at what we took “>r -gran- ted and question it,. and appre ciate ideas and ideals which have been suffocated and drowned in this age in which we live’.
