Student Health Plan
Attention New Full-Time Students Students who have just started full-time stud- ies in January, please be advised that the deadline to opt out of the Student Health Plan is February 4, 1995. Students may opt out only if they are currently enroled in a comparable health plan. Bring proof of coverage (plan cardor verification letter) and student ID to the Student Union Office, 9:00 to 4:00. Please do not wait until fees have been paid, students who have missed the deadline dates are ineli- gible to opt out due to the Student Union insurance deadline dates. If you have any questions regarding the Student Health Plan, please call (566-0530) or drop into the Student Union Office, in the Barn.
Targeted Undergraduate Student Research Award
Who Can Apply?
Female Canadian citizens and permanent resi- dents who, at the time of application are reg- istered as full-time students in an eligible undergraduate program in the physical sci- ences or engineering. Students in the life sci- ences (biology, psychology, etc.) are not eligi- ble. When the award is held, the student must not have more than six, and no fewer than five, academic terms remaining to complete the bachelor’s degree. Students should preferably have obtained a first-class (80% or above) average in their course work up to the time of application. Students must be exposed to research and development activities during the work period, and be supervised by a faculty member who holds an NSERC Research Grant at the time the application is submitted. A list of eligible supervisors is available from your department chair. Applications

Salary: Minimum Salary is $1,125/month.
Residence Bursary Bernadine Hall ($500)
Following are the terms of reference for the above-named bursary:
1. Recipient must be a Third or Fourth- Year student living in Bernardine Hall who has lived there for at least two years.
2. Musthave an average of 65% or better in last semester’s work and passing grades in all five subjects.
3. Must write a personal essay about what she/ he has participated in during her/his years in residence. How has she/he helped to promote spirit in Bernardine Hall?
4. Selection to be made by a committee from the Department of Student Services (com- posed of the Residence Mange or Co-ordinator of Residence Program, Director of Student Services, and one counsellor) with final ap- proval given by the Scholarship and Bursary Committee.
5. Selection to be made in conjunction with other bursaries awarded from the Memorial Bursary Fund.

We Need Help!!
The UPEI World Universities of Canada (WUSC) local committee needs volunteers to help make our upcoming symposium on Third World Education a success.
We need people who are willing to accept billets from other Maritime universities for two nights, February 10 and 11. We.also need people who have access to transportation to pick people up at the airport on February 10 and to drop them off on February 12. The final area we need volunteers in is at the symposium
