They plan to spend a week at Wildwood, a summer resort on the Atlantic Coast of New Jersey. Following .this they wil visit with Mrs. Baldwin's brother, Rev. Dr. L.E. Toombs and Mrs. Toombs of Madison. New Jersey, and will see points of interest in New York City and Philadelphia.

They expect to be accompan- ied home by Dr. Toombs and family who will be coming to the Island for their annual summer vacation. Rev. Dr. Toombs wiil Oe the guest preacher at Trinity United’ Church, Charlottetown, for three Sundays in August.

A most enjoyable house warm- ing was held on June 12th when neighbors and friends headed by the W.1. of Indian River, gather- ed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John McLean to bid them wel- come to the community. Mr. and Mrs. MacLean have recently moved into the house formerly occupied by the late Norman Ferguson.

An address was read by the pressident of the W.I. Mrs. L.G. Ramsay and a beautiful couch. along with a sum of money was presented to them. Mr. McLean. on behalf of his wife and family thanked one and all for their kindness. -

Launch was served by the lad- ies and dancing was indulged iu to a late hour, when all left for their home wishing the McLean's many happy years in the com- munity.

Recently, Dr. Bowlen took. in the Highland Ball in Calgary. Earlier he was on hand to wel- come 75 American V.I.P.'s taking part in the Western Airlines in- augural flight from U.S. points to Calgary.

The Governor was in-Banff for the two-day meeting of the Can- adian Investment Dealers’ Asso- ciation, and_on June 10 he went to Lethbridg for the-annual com- memoration of the Grand Lodge of Alberta of Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons.
