ENGINEERING SOCIETY NEWS
Due to the fact that we have had a nice, long vacation in Miami, we have much news to tell the world.
First of all, we would like to congratulate Danny MacNeill (Schwarz) on getting the APENS award. (Good drinking money, eh, Dan?!)
The U.N.B. trip held the first weekend of February was a success. The TUNS tour was held on March Il, These tours are to provide engineering students with the opportunity to see both campuses and to help them decide where to continue their education.
As a reminder to all third year engineering students, deadlines for applications for diplomas are March |5. Asa special treat, we even get to pay for them.
Now on to more exciting news. Engineering Week is being held from March 14 to March 19. Alot of fun and enjoyment are in store for you. Teams of five people can be made for the entire week. Points will be awarded for participation in each event. And here are some of the events. There is to be a pool tournament, curling, scavenger hunt, bowling,

The annual Engineering banquet will be held in April. All engineering students keep that in mind.
To help those people who can’t make up their mind to go to U.N.B. or TUNS, we came up with a list of things they may want to consider: |. The proximity of the university to the bars. 2. The density of the bars close to the university. 3. The cost of living. For example, how cheap are the BEvERages?
4. How close to homeare you? In case you run out of money for those wonderful necessities, like ethanol.
5. How often does it storm? (To estimate how many days off you will have.)
6.7.8.9.10 Let your parents worry about the rest.

Volunteers wanted _
The Queen’s County local of the P.E.I. Association for Community Living is searching for volunteers. P.E.l. Association for Community Living is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing services to people with a mental handicap within the community. Volunteers help provide a meaningful recreation experience for these people. “Volunteering has been very rewarding for me. | have worked with a variety of people and ithas beena bright spot in my life. | recommend volunteering to anyone “ -Volunteer Volunteers would work with an individual or a small group to assist in implementing personalized recreation plans. The Queens County Local provides support and training to all volunteers. Volunteering is a fun, enjoyable experience that brings both joy and fulfilment to your life.

The 1994 Masaryk Fellowship Program
