IIEREAS the General Assembly of this Island stands Pro- rogued until Thursday, the Twenty-sixth day of October, inst:

I have thought fit, by and with the advice of Her Majesty’s Executive Council, further to prorogue the said General Assembly, and the same is hereby prorogued until Thursday the Seventh day of December next, of which all persons concerned are required {to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.

Given under my hand and the Great Seal of this Island, at Charlottetown, in the said Island, this 25th day of October, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty- fivc, and in the Twenty-ninth year of Her Majesty’s reign.

'- N pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of this Island. passed in the twenty-seventh year of the reign of IIt‘I‘ present Majesty Queen Victoria. intitu ed “ AII Act to Consolidate and amend the several laws imposing an Assessment on all Lands in this Colony, and for the encouragement of Education,”

I do hereby publicly notify the owners or occupiers of Land and Real Estate in Charlottetown and Common, for which the annual Assessment levied thereon by the Assessois for said Toer and t‘ommon, is payable, that unless the Assessment for the current year be paid into the handsof Mr. William Shepherd, Iny Collector for said Town and Common, within the time prescribed by law, proceedings will be taken against all such Lands and Real Estate as shall then be in arrears for nonpayment of the sums charged thereon, agreeably to the directions of the above recited not

PON reading the petition of the Complainants, this day pre- ferred unto his Honor the Master of the Rolls. for the reasons therein contained, it was prayed that the Bill filed in this cause may be taken pro confesso, against the said Defendants, unless they appear in twenty days from the date hereof exclusive, on publica- tion hereof in the Royal Gazette. in terms of the Rule of this Hon- orable Court in that behalf made, which is ordered accordingly— unless the said William II McKay and Sophia McKay do appear

IN 'rnn MATTER of an application for execution to be issued against the Lands of Aunnnw DUNCAN, late of the Royalty of Char- Iottetown, in the said Island, Farmer, deceased, and his right, title and interest therein, under the provisions of the Act of the General Assembly of the said Island, 24th Victoria, cap. 5, upon a Certain judgment entered of record in the said Court, in a cause wherein JOHN THOMAS THOMAS was Plain- tili‘, and the said Andrew Duncan and John Duncan were Defendants.

V 11E ltEAS application hath been made to this Court, on the

part of the above named John Thomas Thomas stating that the sum of three hundred pounds, with interest thereon, is due to him on and secured by a Certain judgment of record at his suit against the said late Andrew Duncan, now deceased, and the said John Duncan, In or about or of Hilary Term, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six, for the sum of six hundred pounds debt,and three pounds costs of suit. and execution on such judgment hath been moved for on behalf of the said John Thomas Thomas.

It is ordered, that unless all,or some of the persons interested in the Lands formerly belonging to the said Andrew Duncan, deceased, shall, on the ninth day 0t January next coming, being the first day of next liilary Term of this Court, at Charlottetown, for Queens County, come forward and show cause why eXecution should not be issued upon the aid judgment at the suit of the said John Thomas Thomas against such Lands of the said Andrew Duncan, deceased. or his former right, title and interest therein, then execution will he issued against such Landsand the tenements and hereditaments of the said Andrew Duncan, deceased, in pursuance of the Act of the General Assemblyof I’rince EdWard Island, Passed in the 24th year of the reign of Her present Majesty, intitulcd “An Act in amendment of and addition to the Acts relating to Judgments en- tered of Round in the Supreme Court of Judicature."
