'Sri Chinmoy
Sri Chmroy was born in Bengal, India in 1931. .At the age of twelve he entered an ashram, Or spiritual com- nunity, and spent the next twenty years in prayer and neditation. During this period he had a nurber of deep mystical experiences, which he has sought to ex- press/through art,,1iter- ature and music. Since coming to the west in 1964, Sri Chinnoy has written more than 300 books of spiritual poetry, plays, stories, aphorism, es— says and questions and answers. He has done 127,000 paintings, which have been exhibited in museums, galleries and individual shows in the
