MR. WISES RESIGNATION.

—The Guardian udmits that “the single incident” of the West Elgin election ‘* proves nothing as to the will of the people in regard to redistribution.” Just so. And as to “ihe single incident” so as to all the corrupt bye-elections won by the Liberals. They prove nothing concern- ing the will of the people. There must be a general election and redistribution must be an issue in it, and the whole matter must be fully d scussed before the will of the people as to the Lfberal gerry - mander or to the Judicial Commission can beknown. ‘The Senate has given an op portunity for this.
