Many citizens throughout the province wul learn with regret the sudden death yesterday at her home on the Mt. Edward Road d Mrs. William F. MacDonald d Glenfiunan and Charlottetown. Born at Little Pond 83 years ago. the late Mrs. Mu.-Donald is survived by one son Donald A.. General Manag of the Producers Co-op Association Limited and two daughters Isabel of Charlottetown 'and Anita (Mrs. R.F. MacDonald) of Dearborn) Michigan. Also one in-bther James A.!:. Mr. MacDonald noted that a high standard of principles had been maintained by the various Unions in their negotiations. He closed his rcport with an optimis- tic forecast for organization in the coming year.

end institute held in February and its attendant social function. The report stressed the need for an expansion of educational features to include those outside of the Labour rnovcment. Mr. McAlduff voiced the thanks of the Council to the local press and radio for Local Union functions.

Nurses Alumnae Of Ch'town Hospital Meet

The 25th. annual meeting of the Charlottetown Hospital Nursca' Alumnae was held in the Blue Room. Old Spain Restaurant on June 26th. at 7 p.m. The Presi- dent. Mrs. Mary Maddigan occupi- ed the chair. After a delicious tur- key dinner. the minutes of the last annual and regular meetings were read by Mrs. Martha Mclsaac. Financial and other reports were also read. The president then wel- comed the new Graduates and urged all nurses to be ever faithful members of the Alumnae. She then reviewed the activities of the past year, the highlights of which. were the celebration of the Silves- Jubllee of the Alumnae last Oct- ober and the nurscs' graduation dance in May.

The report of the nominations committee was brought in by Mrs. L. MacGuigan and the following members were elected to hold of- fice for the coming year; President Mrs. Ines Lawlor. lst.
