The fourth war-time annual report of The Eastern Trust Company was presented the shareholders at tho annual general meeting on February 17th. Despite the difficulties of the times, further progress in the Company’: lffairs during 1942 was revealed. Net earnings amount to $141,740.78, which represent: an increase of $1,986.38 over the preceding year.

Estates, Trusts and Agencies under administration by the Company increased to $59,006,423.57—-an increase of $606,619.95. A favorable balance of $27,- 260.29, compared with $26,949.34 in 1941, was carried forward to Profit and Loss, after providing for the highest taxes in the Company's history, d:p$i';§éatt)i)%n, and the regular dividnds.
