The injunction was sought in con- nection with a dispute over the ownership of goalie Jacques Mar-

cotte, now playing with Frontenac: in the Quebec Junior Hockey Lea- gue. He is also claimed by the Quebec Citadelles, members of the junior branch of the Ontario Hoc- key Association.

The QAI-IA has announced that Frontenacs would be suspended un- less they released Marcotte.

When Frontenacs made their re- quest for an injunction against the QILHA, the Quebec Ciladelles fol- lowed with a request for permis- sion to enter the case. Mr. Justice A. I. Smith took the request under advisement until Saturday.

Potato digging has been com- pleted in the Savage Harbour Dis- trict and grading operations are now in full swing at the Company warehouse at Douglas. Most farm- ers in this area raise potatoes with Mr. Irving Duke being the largest individual grower having some 20 acres. The yield in general was good.

Bruce Affleck, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Affleclr of Mt. Stewart was the victim of an accident at the Co-op. mill during the week which resulted in painful injuries to the young chap's right arm. It appears that the boy was standing by the side of the main building and did not notice the truck back- ing up. His arm was badly cut as it was squeezed between the truck and the building. six or seven stitches were required to close the wound. It appears that when Dr. Shepherd started to dress the arm, the young chap was more concerned about the possibility of his having to miss school then he was in the severity: of his injuries. Bruce will likely have a. brilliant future if through the years his keenness to drink from the fount of knowledge con- tinues unabated.
