Under the University Act, the Chancellor is elected by a joint committee of Senate and the Board of Governors. The term is for four years, and the incumbent may be re-elected. Dr. Gustave Gingras, C. C.C. , M.D. , F.R.C.P. (C) , our second chancellor, will corplete his first term this coming June.

1. Applicant must be a graduate of a High School in the Province of New Brunswick, with evidence of a genuine interest in Hore Economics or related subject area. Applicant must have applied for admission to a Bachelor's degree program in Home Economics in any Province of Canada. Applicant must have adiieved good results in a variety of high school subjects, including the applied sciences. 4. Applicant must forward an applicaticn to

the New Brunswick Hore Economics Association.

selected logo could be used in all public and internal promotional materials. The logo entries must reflect the basic aims and functions of the Human Rights Commission, which are as follows:

(A) To hear complaints of discrimination from individuals and groups

To investigate and help settle corplaints. To enforce the Human Rights Act of P.E.I. which states that all persons are equal in dignity and human rights without regard to their race, religion, creed, colour, sex, age, marital status, ethnic or national origin or political beliefs.

To inform and educate all Island groups and individuals concerning the development of human rights.

Entries are to be in two colors (maximum) & on paper 11" x 14".

Only entries received on or before March 20, 1978 will be accepted. ‘

Oily entries submitted with a stamped self— addressed envelope will be returned.

All entries are subject to selectim for public exhibition.

All entries must contain the name, address & telephone number of the artist.

Explanations of the entries would be appreciated but are optional. lettering/labelling (i.e. P.E.I. Human Rights Oomfission) is optional.

If none of the entries are satisfactory, the Commission reserves the right not to award prizes and not to use any of the entries. First, secoid and third place mimers will

be required to sign letters of understanding turning over to the Commission all copyrights and sole ownership of the logos, prior to receian their prize.
