Fine.—At half past eight o’clock this morning the alarm was sounded fora fire in the roome occupied by the Catholic Literary Association,over the Hub restaur- ant, Queen Street. The firemen turned eut promptly but the fire had made a good deal of headway between the floors and wes net extinguished before a lot of damage was done to the roome. The restaurant m1 d-r neath was completely flooded. The fire is supposed to have been caused through a defective chimney.
