Mr. Charles Murphy has arrived from Portland, Maine, on his an- nual vacation to his old home here. Charlie is a railway man in Maine and has been there for many years now. His home is us- ually a calling post for visitors from here on route and from Boston.

Mr. and Mrs. Bill Letsoll and Mr. and Mrs. Clement. llogau, Boston, Mass, are at present on a vacation trip in this vicinity visiting rel- atives and friends. Mr. Hogan and his sister, Mrs. Lctson. are the son and daughter of Mr. Frank Hogan and the late Mrs. Hogan of this vicinity who left here many years ago. The two young couples spend some time with Mr. and Mrs. Joe Walsh, and Mr. and Mrs. P. R. Sinnott during their ten-day stay here.

The remains of the late Miss Margaret Byrnc who died in Pasa- dena, Callfornia on June 23rd ar- rived here on July 1st accompan- ied by her slsters Mrs. Patrick Mc- Kcnna and Miss Veroxonia Byrne. The funeral was held on Wednes- day July 2nd from the residence of her brother waiter Byrne to the Church of St. Lawrence, Morell Rear, where funeral mass was sung by the pastor. Rev. P. McKenna, who also conducted services at the grave. Burial was in the family plot in the old cemetery.

Again on June 30th the same one arrived back at the yard for another hand-out and came right to the door where she was fed again. it is to be hoped that no smart sieck will harm our new friend. The largest group to ever go to the shrine of Ste Anne De Beauprc will leave here on Sunday and Monday. July 13th and 14th, by car and train for Quebec. Several are in the group who have been there before and who are unfortun- ate enough to be on the crippled list. one lady is in a wheelchair and a man able to get around slow- ly on crutches will be in the par- ty. There is also a yang business man who is in very poor health most of the time. Mrs. Anthony Dunn, who was a cripple until she Visited the shrine three years ago Ind came back in prime health, will also be with the party with the fond hope and prayers that some others will at least benefit from their visit. -N.
