Gignac Ordered To Stand Trial

MONTREAL (CP) — Robert Emilien Gignac, 38-year-old con- tractor, was committed to trial Friday on five charges of pér- jury arising from testimony he | gave at the Dorion inquiry.

Judge Emile Trottier of Ses- sions Court, in a five-page judg- ment, ruled that the Crown had submitted sufficient proof te send Gignac to trial. No date | was set for the trial. f

The judge rejected a claim by | Gignac's lawyer that the five charges constituted only one single offence. ;

Gignac also is being held with- out bail to await trial for capital murder in connection with the shooting last September of Amie (Rocky) Brunette, a night club } waiter.
