David Duffy, of Stoney Creek, N. B., was found dead in bed by his hired man on Tuesday afternoon, April 9 Mr. Dutly was an age bachelor anu was apparently in good health. Report’says that a small bot- tle, with plain traces of strychnine, wis found on the floor near the bed. This and the fact of Mr. Duffy going to bed in the afternoon feud many to think the cause of his death unnatura', but more probably contemplated bevause of a broken premise to dispose of his property to a man who threatened an action to recover damages or the property Mr. Duffy promised to, but would not, deed away.—Albert Maple Leaj.
