THE EDIBLE WILD AT MOUNT BUCHANAN. Bring a picnic supper and gather at Liz * Baglole's (coming from town, turn right at the Legion in Eldon, continue down the road about 1 km and turn left at the Baglole mailbox) between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. on Fri. June 18. Tea and coffee will be provided. At 6:30 * we will set out to explore the woods, fields, hedgerows and marshes of the area to gather edible delicacies. Later we will return to the house to prepare and feast on what we have collected. Bring waterproof footwear and * appropriate field guides.

A PROVINCIAL MUSEUM FOR P.E.l. ?

Many of you will undoubtedly have heard the recent rumors and discussions circulating in the province regarding the proposal to establish a provincial museum of man and nature in Prince Edward Island. Such an institution would be of immense benefit. Not only would it promote more scientific investigation into the natural and cultural history of P.E.I. but it would have tremendous educational value for Islanders and tourists alike.

The Natural History Society fully endorses the proposals to establish a provincial museum, and urges members to write to the Minister of Community Affairs, the Hon. Horace Carver (Box.2000, Charlottetown, P.E.I.)expressing support for the idea. It is only through a strong show of support that the minister will become convinced that Islanders are fully behind this effort. If you do not have time to write, clip and mail the coupon below. Also urge your friends and relatives to do likewise.
