Mud and Midterms! At UPEI, you’e just got to get through them. There are lots of things that students have to worry about, and of course one of these worries might be, and usually is, about money (ie: loans).

The student loan appeal season is upon us and I want to encourage those stu- dents not satisfied with their loan or bursary assessment to take advantage of this pro- cess. It is not a bad thing to appeal! In fact, its con- cept was to offer the student an opportunity to appeal for more money. I can help you Sort out your loan papers, etc., and suggest options for you. So please feel free to drop by Student Services for assistance. My feeling is that

the effort of papers shuffling may indeed be all that is re- quired for more money. Student Services also has a financial aid booklet, and vertical file that contains in- formation on bursaries and scholarships. I suggest that you take advantage of this system to check into those monies that upcom- ing deadlines for tions. For this article. I want to elaborate a bit on one particular program because quite a few students are in- terested in it: File #5 in Education Federal/Provincial pro- grams (Dept. of Education) For 1988, programs available to Island students are anticipated:
