Anx LLawELLys, a wooden-legged woman, widow of a wooden-legged man, and mother of acon who uses an artificial limb, was ar- rested for trespass on the 20th ult., for erect- ing fences and a frame possession house on a lot in Pottsville, Pa., which she claims. She said that wooden legs ran in her family. The property which she claims has been in dispute for many years. Mrs. Llewellyn heard that a few daya ogo it had been sold by the other claimant, and she hastened to assert her rights The house she put up was an 8 by 10 frame shanty, with a window and door in it, and she vas occupying it when arrested. After she had been taken out it was upset into the creek on the bank of which it was erected.

A Fatal Affray.

Rome, Feb. 6.

An affray occurred yesterday at Presta, & small viliage near Aquila, between labor- ers on a railway and the inhabitants of the village. The Carbineers interfered to snp- press the disturbance, and fired, killing eight and wounding fourteen of the vil- lsgers. The affair has caused a great sen- safion.
