' HEREAS aIVrit has been issued to us. under and by virtue of an Act passed in the 14th year of the reign of Her present Majesty. intituled “ An Act to re- gulate the laying out and altering of Highways,” and of the Acts in amendment thereof, whereby we are com- manded to enquire what damage or advantage will ac- crue to those persons who are interested in the lands through which a certain new road is intended to be made. commencing at Fraser’s, Millvale. Lot 21. and extending to Millvale Road. we do hereby give notice to all parties concerned, that we will commence the execution of the said writ by attending at Murphy’s. head Millvale River, on Thursday, the 26th day of August next, at the hour of ten o’clock, in the forenoon. and from thence We will proceed through the said new line of road and complete the inquest according to law. Conviction.

June 12, 1869, before John McMillan and Arch'd McIsaae. Esqs.. Ann McDonald was convicted and fined in the sum of two shillings and six-pence, with costs, for an assault on Elizabeth Gillie, both of P. Valley.
